If art and architecture is your thing then Barcelona in Spain is the place where you belong. There are so many incredible landmarks to be found in this city, but the most notable ones are without a doubt the ones designed by Antoni Gaudí.
Antoni was a Spanish architect known for his Catalan modernism and for being influenced by his passions in life, which were: nature, religion and of course: architecture.
If you’ve been to Barcelona, you will without a doubt have seen some of his work. They’re hard to avoid and they’re beautiful to the eye.
But the most famous one of them all must be The Sagrada Familia. The Sagrada Familia is a big church (Roman Catholic) and the project started back in 1882. However, when Gaudi died in 1926, the church was not complete yet. In fact, the work is still not complete. The Sagrada Familia isn’t expected to be completed before 2026. That’s quite a long time, isn’t it?
I know you’re already intrigued to hear more about this fascinating building. So why not join the Sagrada Familia with out lines in Barcelona, next time you’re in the city? This way you’ll become a Gaudi pro!
The tour is offered by Barcelona Guide Bureau and they offer a morning tour at 10 AM as well as an afternoon tour at 3:15 PM.
You will be in the safe hands of a local and knowledgeable English speaking guide, who will show you Passeig de Gràcia avenue, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera and Eixample before finally visiting Sagrada Familia. This is also where the tour ends, so you’ll have the option to stay there as long as you wish instead of taking the bus back. This way you can really immerse yourself in this beautiful piece of architecture.
This fantastic tour takes approximately two and a half hours and you’ll have free time to explore on your own and find some delicious Spanish food in the area for lunch or as a snack.
So why should you choose the Sagrada Familia Tour from Barcelona Guide Bureau?
Well, a quick Google search will tell you that they’re one of the top tour companies in Barcelona. You’ll be able to find consistently good reviews from people having enjoyed their tours.
The tours are reasonably priced and you’ll be able to skip the long (and incredibly boring) lines and go straight to the monuments. You don’t have this option when you go on your own.
You’ll also be able to meet fellow travelers who have the same interests as you. This is perfect for all of my solo travelers out there! I know it’s great to explore on your own, and I encourage it. But sometimes it’s quite nice to have a bit of company and have someone to share the experiences with.
So, if you’re in Barcelona this Summer then do not miss out on this Sagrada Familia Tour.
